Branch Timeline
Enhance your video projects by mastering our Branch Timeline connector, a powerful tool designed to facilitate seamless navigation and customization across various video segments. This feature not only enables smooth transitions between different scenes or sections but also allows for the duplication and individualization of these scenes to suit specific content requirements.
To effectively use the Branch Timeline connector, it’s important to understand how it operates within MP5 timelines. When After Effects (AE) compositions are imported into our platform, they are converted into “scenes.” These scenes form the foundation of a structured timeline in the studio, enabling the creation of dynamic narratives with interactive paths tailored to different audience segments.
The process begins with selecting the interactive layer within your video; this selection serves as the trigger for navigating to the next scene or narrative path. Subsequently, you'll need to define the new timeline trajectory for the viewer post-interaction, identifying the specific scene and the precise entry point within that scene.
To illustrate, consider a video that prompts viewers to choose between dogs and cats, culminating in an introductory scene that poses this choice. If a viewer selects dogs, the subsequent action should transition to a 'Dog scene.' This is achieved by setting the 'I like dogs' button as the interaction trigger. The new timeline configured would then be 'Intro → Dog Scene,' commencing right at the Dog Scene's start. This setup ensures that after the viewer's selection, the video reconfigures and transitions smoothly to present a new, coherent sequence starting with the Dog Scene, thereby crafting a responsive and immersive video experience.
