Intro to Connectors

Connectors serve as versatile tools within the Studio, allowing users to seamlessly integrate content from After Effects with external data sources. By utilizing connectors, you can dynamically transform animations into tailored videos that resonate with your audience.

Types of Connectors

**Text** Customize the source text to add a personal touch. **Media** Adapt elements such as logos, background videos, or soundtracks according to preferences. **Color** Customize your visuals by matching colors to the preferences of individual users. **Interactive** This is where user interaction happens - from control buttons to interactive games. Anything that's touchable or clickable. **Advanced** Geared towards our tech-savvy users, this offers functionalities like JavaScript coding, timers, and much more. **Input Fields** Allow users to input directly within the video.

Operational Principles

At their core, all connectors operate on a consistent principle: select one or multiple layers from After effects and link them to a specific data field or function.

After selecting a connector, you will then pair it with the desired After Effects layer. Subsequently, you'll be presented with 3 connectivity options:

  1. Data: Tailors content to individual user specifics like name, gender, favorite genre, and even their previous interactions with your website, contingent upon available data.

  2. Edit: Directly replaces the default source from After Effects.

  3. Expression: Allows for the creation of custom code.

Each connector boasts a variety of settings to ensure precision and optimal outcomes. Comprehensive details on each connector will be provided on their respective pages.
